Stampeding The 2014 USF Football Roster - #40 K Michael Hill

Michael Hill is your favorite backup transfer kicker on USF's roster.

#40 K Michael Hill
Redshirt Junior, 5'9", 168 lbs.

Stats in 2013: Hill wasn't listed on the USF roster last season.

Spot on the 2013 Depth Chart: Not listed.

How did he come to USF: Through quite a circuitous route. Michael went to high school at Tarpon Springs, accepted a preferred-walk on spot at Oklahoma, and then transferred to USF in the summer of 2012 to be closer to home. He sat out the year in 2012 due to transfer restrictions, and didn't survive roster cuts in 2013.

Recruiting Rankings: Hill wasn't given a rating by any of the major recruiting services, but he did enroll at Oklahoma, after all, and was named to the first team All-Suncoast Team in 2010 (for perspective, Mattias Ciabatti was second team), so he's certainly not lacking in talent.

Project Playing Time: Almost certainly none in 2014. Even if something were to happen to Marvin Kloss, which is the worst thought ever, redshirt freshman Emilio Nadelman would likely be the backup. It'll be interesting to see if Hill is still on roster come fall practice. If he is, perhaps he can compete for the starting job next year when Kloss graduates.
