Bull-ogosphere: Fan Fest, Fullbacks and Fun!

This young fan wasn't saddened by the rain at Fan Fest on Saturday - gousfbulls.com

A round-up of all things football for USF this Monday morning, including, yes, fullbacks. Thank goodness USF might actually have some fullbacks.

Fan Fest was on Saturday

The football team returned from the Vero Beach practice complex for Fan Fest on Saturday. Even though it rained heavily, Taggart had a line a mile long and talked to everyone. TBO.com has a video up, and Taggart says he even signed a baby. TAGGART FOR PRESIDENT 2016!

Football team had an early morning practice last Thursday. So early, it could be counted as late-night.

In one of the last practices at Vero Beach, Taggart had the team up at 3 a.m. on Thursday morning, and the team ran for until sunrise. He says waking them up early is a way to get them "comfortable with being uncomfortable." They then got to get a few Zzz's on the beach.

The Lakeland Ledger interviews Defensive Coordinator Chuck Bresnehan

Ledger Coorespondent Mike Cobb writes about how Taggart delved into his NFL connections to land an experienced DC. Bresnehan talks about having a defense that will "play fast, play physical and finish everything."

Fullbacks? An offense "featuring" fullbacks? You don't say!

Exiled third Daft Punk DJ Greg Auman highlights the two freshman fullbacks who have shone down in Vero Beach. USF's offense hasn't featured fullbacks prominently since Jim Leavitt patrolled the sidelines, but the new regime has a history of using big backs to wear down defenses.

SBNation.com's Bill Connelly kicks off his American Athletic Conference team previews

College football guru Bill C. has been writing in-depth previews of every college football team this summer, and today started on the AAC teams with previews of Memphis and Temple. Which means USF's preview is coming soon! If you don't read Bill C.'s previews, get on it because they are fantastic. He has a way of  taking teams with different schedules, different styles, and different strengths and weakness, and putting them in a neat, common-sense order.
