Former FAU AD Craig Angelos Hired As USF's Compliance Director

Stay connected for news and updates

Former Florida Atlantic University Athletic Director Craig Angelos has been hired by USF Athletics to replace current Associate Athletic DIrector Steve Horton, who is retiring.

Angelos was fired at FAU in March, where his salary was $192,000 per year, by FAU President Mary Jane Saunders. Saunders was critical of FAU's fundraising, marketing, and decision-making. As a compliance director, Angelos will be in charge of making sure all USF's programs are in line with all NCAA regulations as well as state and federal laws. There were no major violations at FAU during Angelos's eight-and-a-half-year tenure.

More on this later.
