If you're a regular reader, these weekly athletics calendars usually come out on Monday, but I held it to Wednesday this week because the first USF Athletics event of the 2012-13 season is this afternoon at the Corbett Soccer Stadium.

The Half-Hoops were oh so close to their first College Cup trip last season, and they enter the 2012 season ranked fifth in the NCSAA preseason poll. This is their first match at home since the epic Round of 16 win over New Mexico.
FOOTBALL
Training camp at Vero Beach Sports Complex, all week
If you're on that side of the state, the Bulls will be over in Vero Beach through August 18 for a total of 13 practices and a pair of scrimmages, including one at 5:30 Monday afternoon. I'll double-check to see how many of these practices are open to the public (I'm guessing it's all of them), but here's a schedule of practices and directions to the Vero Beach Sports Complex.
