There's another #47 who was just added to the roster, and he'll take another shot at making the final squad this season.

#47 DB Zach Fisher
Redshirt Freshman, 5'9", 175 lbs.

Stats In 2011: Zach was a walk-on in spring practice and early in camp, but did not make the final roster last fall.

Current Position On Depth Chart: Not listed.

How He Came To USF: Zach came to USF from South Fork High School in Stuart. He ran for 1441 yards and 12 touchdowns his senior season on just 148 carries, which earned him a spot on a list of "Unknown Ballers in Florida". This is actually Fisher's third run through the team. He accepted a preferred walk-on spot for fall camp in 2010, but did not make the final cuts. Fisher tried out for the team again in the spring and earned a roster spot in spring, but fell off the roster later. He was back once again this spring, and made an interception of Bobby Eveld in the Green and Gold Bowl.

Recruiting Rankings: Fisher was not rated by any of the recruiting networks.

Projected Playing Time In 2012: I don't know if Fisher would end up seeing the field in a game, but after two years of striving and working just to make the in-season roster, making the cut would be a worthy accomplishment.
