This isn't Hans Louis, but it is the player Louis could end up replacing in the starting lineup in 2013.
Back to the countdown with a linebacker who's working his way up the depth chart and waiting for his opportunity down the line.
#50 LB Hans Louis
Redshirt Sophomore, 6'0" 220 lbs.
Stats in 2011: Got into the Ball State and FAMU games as a redshirt freshman, making three tackles against the Rattlers.
Current Spot on Depth Chart: Hans was the second-string middle linebacker on the post-spring depth chart.
How Did He Come to USF? From Chaminade Madonna Prep in Fort Lauderdale. He initially committed to Marshall, but switched to USF late in the process. Was also recruited by West Virginia and several non-BCS schools like SCUMBAGS and Middle Tennessee. (Gary wants to know, "Can we still say 'non-BCS?'" Yes, for another two years anyway.)
Recruiting Rankings: Hans was rated as a two-star recruit by both Rivals and Scout.
Projected Playing Time in 2012: Hans is setting up nicely to become a starter as an upperclassman. For this year, though, he'll be waiting in line behind Michael Lanaris, getting a handful of snaps, finishing out blowouts, and maybe contributing on special teams.
