Still not very much on the calendar this week, since the fall semester hasn't started yet. But tonight is the first official game of the 2012-13 athletic year, and it's on campus at the Corbett Soccer Stadium.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

• HOME vs. Miami, Sunday, August 19 at 1:00pm, Corbett Soccer Stadium

We're trying to get a proper women's soccer preview together here, but I don't think it will happen before the games start counting. Denise Schilte-Brown and her team open up with two home matches, including a chance to avenge last year's 5-1 season-opening disaster in Orlando.

MEN'S SOCCER

• HOME vs. Tampa (Rowdies Cup), Saturday, August 18 at 7:30pm, Corbett Soccer Stadium

In between the two regular-season women's matches is the men's final exhibition, as they take on the University of Tampa to try and hang on to the Rowdies Cup for the 8th consecutive year. (Since the Rowdies Cup was inaugurated in 2005, the Bulls are 5-0-2 against the Spartans.) The winner gets the Rowdies' actual 1975 NASL championship trophy.
