#65 OG Lawrence Martin
Junior, 6'3" 309 lbs.
Stats in 2011: Lawrence sat out last trying to improve his grades at Merced College. Started for Merced at tackle in 2010
Current Spot on Depth Chart: Martin is listed as the starter at right guard on the post-spring depth chart.
How did he come to USF: Like we said above, Martin comes from Merced College in California. Martin committed to Arkansas State in 2010, but had to retake an English course and was set to re-join the Red Wolves in the spring. When Hugh Freeze left for Ole Miss, Martin re-opened his commitment and chose USF shortly thereafter. Chose USF over offers from Ole Miss, FIU, and Arkansas State.
Recruiting Rankings: Lawrence was listed as a 2-star recruit by Scout, 247 and Rivals.
Projected Playing Time for 2012: Like we said with Damien Edwards, it will all depend on where Danous Estenor lines up in regards to how much playing time Martin will receive this year. Either way, Lawrence will have the inside track to start next season.
