Another day, another offensive guard. Let's get to it.

#71 OG John McGhin
Redshirt Junior, 6'4" 343 lbs

Stats in 2011: Its hard to get in a game at guard when Jeremiah Warren and Renaissance Man Chaz Hine are in front of you. McGhin saw action in three games last year, all as a reserve.

Current Spot on Depth Chart: John was not listed on the post-spring depth chart at either guard position.

How did he come to USF: John comes to USF via Florida State University School in Tallahassee. Chose USF over offers from Vanderbilt and Marshall.

Recruiting Rankings: McGhin was rated as a 2-star recruit out of high school by both Rivals and Scout (#143 OT).

Projected Playing Time for 2011: I just don't see how John is going to see a ton of playing time on the field this year. Steven Jacques, Brynjar Gudmundsson, and JUCO Lawrence Martin have already leapfrogged over McGhin on the depth chart, and unless John has a monster fall camp, he'll probably be relegated to the sideline most of the year.
