Stampeding Through The USF Football Roster: The History Of #75

No one on the current roster has claimed #75, so let's see who has worn this number in the program's history.

Cedric Bell (1997): Switched to #71 after the inaugural season, Bell was a force at left guard the first two seasons at USF, starting 19 of the team's first 22 games at USF. Cedric was also one of the first two players out of the tunnel for USF's first ever game

Jimmy Fitts (1998-2001): As a true freshman Fitts took over at right guard for the final three games in 1998 was a constant presence on the line his four years in Tampa, starting 32 games in his USF career. Was a versatile lineman starting at every offensive line position except for left tackle.

Greg McKay (2002): Joined the team as a defensive lineman, but moved to the offensive side of the ball in 2002. A broken leg derailed any chance for McKay to earn any significant playing time.

Roland Clarke (2003): Was only at USF for one season before transferring to Florida International.

Walter Walker (2004-2007): One of the best linemen in USF history. Walter started 31 games at USF in his career, and was one of the leaders of the 2007 team that make it to #2 in the BCS rankings. Walker was injured during the Rutgers game, and I always will attest that was one of the big reasons why USF went on that slide late in the year.

Danny Tolley (2008): Tolley had all the physical tools, but was riddled with injuries and was placed on a medical scholarship after the 2008 season.

Darren Powe (2009-2011): Powe bounced around the offensive and defensive lines, but was never able to crack the starting lineup while at USF. Powe played in 10 games while wearing the Green and Gold.
