#78 C Austin Reiter
Redshirt Sophomore, 6'3" 278 lbs
Stats in 2011:Played in 10 games (missing Notre Dame and UTEP) as a reserve offensive lineman and on special teams. Apparently, he shrank an inch since coming to USF, since he was listed at 6'4" on a previous roster.
Current Spot on Depth Chart: Starting center.
How did he come to USF: Reiter enrolled early at USF after graduating from Lakewood Ranch High School in December 2009. Austin chose USF over UCF, Middle Tennessee State, and Wake Forest.
Recruiting Rankings: Austin was rated a 2-Star recruit by both Rivals and Scout.
Projected Playing Time for 2011: In this space last year, we said "Expect Reiter to be used mostly in reserve situations and special teams while he is groomed for the starting job in 2012." That's exactly what happened, and that's still the plan going forward.
