With all the abuse our conference gets during football season, it's easy to forget how great USF has it being in the Big East for other sports. The Big East basketball tournament has been at the famed Madison Square Garden since 1983, and has seen countless superstars and unforgettable moments play out on its court over the years. So today's beverage is a classic, in honor of today's game site and all the great history the event has.
From the IBA Official Cocktails, who use centiliters for some reason:
----------
MANHATTAN
- 5 cl (1.67 oz) Rye Whiskey
- 2 cl (0.67 oz) Red Vermouth
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
Pour all ingredients into mixing glass with ice cubes. Stir well. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with cocktail cherry. Sip confidently, and remember that if USF can make it there, they can make it anywhere. It's up to them. We heard that once somewhere.
