With the NCAA Tournament rightly in the forefront of everyone's mind right now, I just wanted to point out the fantastic weekend Soph. LHP Sara Nevins had this weekend for the softball team.

After shutting out Penn State on Friday, Nevins threw her first no-hitter in USF's 10-0 win against Central Connecticut State on Saturday. Nevins was masterful, striking out 6 Blue Devils, walking none, and was only two errors from a perfect game. Jessica Mouse, Janine Richardson, and Kenshyra Jackson each knocked in 3 RBI to lead the offensive output.

As good as Nevins was on Saturday, she was even better against the Rockets on Sunday. In the Bulls' 2-0 win over the Rockets, Sara struck out 14 of the 21 batters she faced, and the perfect game was never in any sort of danger. Nevins was so dominant that the ball never even left the infield.
