USF 82, Bradley 63: Bulls Get Back On Track, Cruise To Victory

Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE

The men's basketball team rolled over Bradley to improve their record to 3-2 on the year.

Looking to bounce back from Sunday's loss to Western Michigan, the South Florida Bulls didn't disappoint. The Bulls came out firing against the Bradley Braves, took a big lead early, and eased home with an 82-63 win.

The Bulls came out firing, hitting their first three attempts from three-point range. They led 13-4 less than five minutes into the game and expanded the lead to 17 by halftime. USF's lead grew to as many as 34 points in the middle of the second half before Stan Heath called off the dogs.

USF had four players in double figures, led by Toarlyn Fitzpatrick with 16 points (including four 3-pointers) and six rebounds. Victor Rudd had a tremendous game, scoring 15 points and notching 12 rebounds, and throwing down a long-range alley-oop from Anthony Collins. Shaun Noriega was in double figures again with 14 points, while Kore White, making another start, scored 11 points and added four rebounds. Collins had another solid night with eight points, 10 assists, and four steals. Meanwhile, instant fan favorite Jordan Omogbehin got some extended minutes and contributed with six points, six boards, and one big block.

Tyhon Pickett had 13 points and Will Egolf had 12 points for the Braves in the losing effort.

After playing four games in five nights, USF gets a much-needed rest before traveling to Stetson next Monday night in their first road game of the season.
