We interrupt the post-Notre Dame euphoria to bring you up to date on which Bulls did and didn't make NFL rosters. First, those who were named in the most recent round of NFL cuts:
- Marc Dile, Buccaneers (injury settlement)
- Sampson Genus, Packers (UPDATE: signed to Packers practice squad)
- Craig Marshall, Giants
- Tyrone McKenzie, Buccaneers
- George Selvie, Rams
- Kion Wilson, Chargers
Selvie was promptly picked up by the Panthers, where he'll join rookie Terrell McClain.
As for the others: if no other team claims them, they may be signed to the practice squad of the team they went to camp with. Players must have less than one year experience, and less than 9 games on the active roster, to join a practice squad. As far as I know, all these players are eligible, except Selvie, who appeared in 16 games for the Rams last season. See ThePhinsider for an explanation of the rules).
After the jump, see the complete list of current USF alumni in the NFL.
Going into the 2011 season, the list of USF alumni in the NFL appears to be as follows:
- Nate Allen, Eagles
- Mike Jenkins, Cowboys
- Terrell McClain, Panthers
- Carlton Mitchell, Browns
- Jerome Murphy, Rams
- Stephen Nicholas, Falcons
- Jason Pierre-Paul, Giants
- Mistral Raymond, Vikings
- Jacquian Williams, Giants
In addition, Huey Whittaker, Delbert Alvarado and Amarri Jackson are playing for the Virginia Destroyers of the UFL. J.R. Reed was dropped by the Destroyers.
We welcome any updates and/or corrections.
