Voodoo Five Preseason BlogPoll Top 25 Ballot

You know football season is getting close when the BlogPoll cranks back up. We have the honor once again to participate in this poll of the top college football blogs on the Internet (plus ours).

Gary and Toro have declined to vote before any games are played, so this preseason ballot is a combination of mine and Voodoo's ballots. Explanations ater the jump. Yes, you're reading #25 correctly.

  • Oklahoma and Alabama were tied at #1, but with Nick Saban being evil incarnate, we decided to give the Sooners the nod.
  • LSU and Boise State were tied at #4, but we gave the nod to the Broncos after Jordan Jefferson thought it would be a great idea to get into a fight a week before the season.
  • Wisconsin and Nebraska were tied at #8, but the Badgers got the nod because I had them higher on my poll.
  • Finally, FAU is at #25 for one week only because of the great Howard Schnellenberger, who is retiring at the end of the year. God bless you and your suspenders, your manly musk, and your need for sideline boogers.

So what did we screw up on? Angry we left USF off the ballot? Let us know in the comments. (Texas would have been #25 if not for our tribute to Schnelly.)
