The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. By now you're starting to plan what you are going to do while in Chicago and South Bend. Today we meet one of the more explosive athletes on the roster.

#10 WR Terrence Mitchell

Sophomore, 5'10" 154 lbs.

Stats In 2010: Terrence played in all 13 games last season, starting the year at cornerback before moving to wide receiver halfway through the year. Mitchell didn't catch any passes, but was used on 2 reverses for 39 yards and his first career touchdown against Pitt. Terrence also had 6 tackles, and received 21 punts for 232 yards.

Mitchell was named as a Freshman All-American by the FWAA for his efforts at PR.

Current Position On Depth Chart: Mitchell was listed as the starter at flanker on the post-spring depth chart.

How He Came To USF: Terrence comes to USF from nearby Hillsborough High School. Mitchell had a solid senior playing on both sides of the ball. On offense, Mitchell caught 10 balls for 277 yards and 3 touchdowns and also had 5 rushes for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively, Mitchell had 32 tackles and 3 PBU.

Originally a Florida State commit, Mitchell flipped his commitment to USF only a few days before National Signing Day. Mitchell chose USF over FSU, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee among others.

Recruiting Rankings: Mitchell was rated as a 4-Star recruit by both Rivals and Scout. Rivals was rated as the 7th best cornerback and 89th overall prospect in the country while Scout had Terrence as the 12th best cornerback in the country and the 145th overall prospect in the Class of 2010.

Projected Playing Time In 2011: Terrence is still learning his new position after switching to offense last year. While I don't think Mitchell will ultimately start, expect him to be a solid member in the WR rotation and one of the better wide outs by the time the season ends.

Plus Terrence will be totally awesome at returning punts this year. Wouldn't be surprised he returns 2, 3, or even 7 punts back for touchdowns this year.
