Yes, ESPNU got USF running back Darrell Scott and former Maryland running back Da'Rel Scott mixed up during their Big East Media Days coverage. It's one thing to have two identical names get mistaken for each other. But it's another thing entirely when a player is confused for one who isn't even in college anymore.
Personally I blame the whole thing on Craig James, just because.
