2011 Big East Media Days: USF 3rd In Big East Preseason Media Poll

Stay connected for news and updates

USF was thought to be one of the favorites this season in the Big East, but according to the media members around the conference, the Bulls will just be off the top tier.

While the official unveiling of the Big East media poll won't be announced until later today, Brett McMurphy of CBS Sports looked at the sheet of paper with the results was able to crack the code and get the information out to the appreciative world. The full results are:

  1. West Virginia (21) 188
  2. Pitt (2) 162
  3. USF (1) 151
  4. Syracuse 98
  5. Cincinnati 96
  6. UConn 76
  7. Louisville 60
  8. Rutgers 33

Whoever chose USF 1st in the conference deserves a high five.

This looks pretty close to the Big East Power Poll that we did a couple of weeks back (here is our ballot). The only difference I see between ours and the media is that lack of anything resembling an offense at UConn won't be that big of a deal.

So what do you guys think? Let us know in the comments.
