1. Congrats to former USF LB Stephen Nicholas, who just re-signed with the Atlanta Falcons for five years and $17.5 million. Although it would have been nice for him to play in Tampa again, it's great to see a team reward Snake with that kind of money.

2. ESPN's Andrea Adelson is starting her top 25 players in the Big East, and she has QB B.J. Daniels in at #24. Not bad considering the poor first half of the year he had.

3. Adam Adkins has some news on Courtney Williams, who just gave a verbal pledge to Coach Jose Fernandez and the women's basketball team. Whenever you can beat out schools like Maryland, Georgetown, and Washington, you grabbed a great prospect.

4. If you guys forgot, the annual USF Preseason Tailgate is this Saturday at Capogna's from 4-8 PM. Coach Holtz should be there, and the guys at Bulls Outfitters will be on hand as well. Admission is free.

5. The USF Football Kickoff Dinner will be on Monday, August 22 at the A La Carte Pavilion. Don't know how they got Lou Holtz to do the event. Someone on the coaching staff must have a lot of sway. You can find more information here.
