Breaking News John Egbunu Leaving: USF Has Pretty Much No One To Play Basketball

Daily Bull-ogosphere: June 7

Hope your night was better than Roberto LOLuongo's last night. Here are your five links to get you through Tuesday morning.

1. Congrats to USF baseball signee Jose Fernandez, who was selected 14th overall by the Florida Marlins in the MLB Amateur Draft. While I'm 99.999999999% sure he's off to Miami, Adam Adkins threw out a tweet last night that offers one small glimmer of hope.

2. Greg Auman reports that FB Chase Griffiths is transferring to Liberty University in the FCS, where he will have three years of eligibility and will be able to play immediately. Griffiths' desire to play linebacker was a big reason for him leaving USF, and Liberty will give him that opportunity. We wish Chase the best of luck.

3. Greg was also able to reach out to new USF basketball assistant Steve Roccaforte for a nice Q&A. It's good to see that Roccaforte has had some success recruiting in the state of Florida, and hopefully he can find some gems for us here in Tampa.

4. Speaking of new hires, women's soccer coach Denise Schilte-Brown has hired Juan Pablo Favero as an assistant coach. Welcome to USF Coach Favero!

5. We'd like to wish Stephanie Duffy, David Aristil, Nicole Rosario, and Jared Thomas luck as they complete in the NCAA Track & Field Championships at Texas A&M.
