After meeting one of our most experienced offensive linemen yesterday, today's entry will showcase one of the newest:

#78 C Austin Reiter

Reshirt Freshman, 6'4" 273 lbs

Stats in 2010: Austin used his redshirt year last season and did not see any action.

Current Spot on Depth Chart: Austin is currently 2nd on the post-spring depth chart at center.

How did he come to USF: Reiter enrolled early at USF after graduating from Lakewood Ranch High School in December 2009. Austin chose USF over UCF, Middle Tennessee State, and Wake Forest.

Recruiting Rankings: Austin was rated a 2-Star recruit by both Rivals and Scout.

Projected Playing Time for 2011: Austin did a good job beating out Danous Estanor for the backup center position in the spring, and Reiter looks like he will hold keep his spot on the two-deep. Incoming freshman Thor Joswiak will try to battle, but Thor will be redshirted unless he has a monster fall camp. Expect Reiter to be used mostly in reserve situations and special teams while he is groomed for the starting job in 2012.
