At least he only has a stress fracture and he can get back on the court this season for the Mavericks, if they need him and if they make it past the first round of the playoffs. At the rate our season is going, if DoJo had come back to USF, his entire leg would have fallen off in the middle of a game.

(Made a change to the length of time Jones will be out. Not necessarily the rest of the season as we'd written before.)

More proof that the Marquette game transcended space-time.

It actually injured players who left school a year early.

I'm surprised it didn't end up affecting other sports.

Like if Carlton Mitchell was working out on his own and felt his hamstring pop.

No, I think it's restricted by sport but not by time.

Because, let’s admit it, when it comes to football USF has pretty much had a golden horseshoe up its ass. Perhaps this inexplicable failure in basketball is the karmic price we pay for so much inexplicable success in football.

But I do hope Chris Howard and Mike Mercer and Ryan Kardok and Justin Leemow are feeling allright this morning. Drop us a line and let us know you’re okay, would you guys?
