When I think of the alcohol of Kansas and the midwest in general I think of whiskey. Anytime you see a western movie, you either drank whiskey from a shot glass, whiskey from a bottle, or whiskey straight from the cask after it was hit by a stray bullet in a gunfight.
With Kansas coming up today and the certain drubbing that will follow, it might be time to follow John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, John Carradine, and just do the following. Recipe courtesy of every whiskey bottle in the history of mankind.

Whiskey Straight Up
Ingredients:
- Your personal favorite brand of whiskey
Pour whiskey into shot glass (or not. Straight from the bottle works here as well) and drink. Repeat as necessary until you have successfully wiped away any memory from the massacre that happened at Allen Fieldhouse earlier that day.
