When you think of the ]Commonwealth of Virginia, one of the first things you think of is the first President of the United States George Washington. However, did you know Washington actually distilled and sold apple brandy at his Mount Vernon residence?
With this in mind, I figured why not use apple brandy for our cocktail of the day? While you probably don't have apple brandy in your liquor cabinet, this is history and you don't want to disappoint George. Cocktail is courtesy of DrinksMixer.com.

Apple Brandy Collins
- 2 oz apple brandy
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp superfine sugar
- 4 dashes orange bitters
- soda water
