The annual Preseason Big East Coaches Poll is out, and USF ended up near the bottom, landing at 14th place. The Bulls ended up with 43 points in the poll, ahead of only Providence and DePaul. If you guys were wondering, there was a tie at the top with Syracuse and Connecticut each netting 209 points.
And while there weren't any Bulls on the 1st or 2nd team squads, Senior forward Augustus Gilchrist found a spot on the Honorable Mention list. Pitt guard Ashton Gibbs was named Preseason Player of the Year, beating out UConn guard Jeremy Lamb for the honor.
