Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Athletic Director Doug Woolard announced at their Around the Horns dinner in Tampa Palms, that a 3.5 million dollar soccer stadium will be added to the list of new facilities for South Florida. The Football fields that will include 3 new fields, 2 with natural grass, and one with artificial turf, will be located just north of the new soccer stadium that is set to be ready by the start of the 2011 fall season directly east of the athletic building. Woolard also declared that all 5 new athletic projects (Baseball Stadium, Softball Stadium, Basketball Facility, Football Practice Complex, and Soccer Stadium) will be finalized and completed by next summer if not sooner.

Wonder if they're leaving enough space to someday put a roof over that artificial turf field?

That would be helpful – USF loses a lot of practice time to the weather in August and September when the summer storms are still raging.
