NCAA Tournament Day One Open Thread

Even though USF is officially done playing basketball this year, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't celebrate the beginning of the greatest sporting event this country has to offer. So sit back, enjoy a beverage or two of your choice, and leave a comment on the first day of the NCAA Tournament.

If you can't watch the games on TV, check out CBS March Madness on Demand. They are streaming every single game online for free, so choose which game you want to watch below, or click here for a pop-up version.

Second year in a row

with no bracket for me. Because I suck at it, first and foremost, but also because I just like watching the mayhem unfold when I’m not thinking about how hard an upset would screw my bracket.

I like the thought of every Nova fan freaking out about trailing Robert Morris at halftime, even though they’re still going to win.

And RMU’s logo looks like a beer label.

It’s a Sam Adams knockoff

Gody only with two points. ODU might win the race to 50.

In and out desperation three for Notre Dame. Looks like they had their miracle against Marquette.

Screw ND

Any team who consciously tries to play that slow and boring just needs to erase themselves from the tourney immediately.

Parsons misses turnaround at the buzzer. We have OT in Oklahoma City. Not a bad start to the Tournament.

BYU wins this one in 2OT

Florida couldn’t do anything after Boynton fouled out.

MURRAY STATE!

Down goes Vandy! Great look at the buzzer, and the Racers advance!

Were my Mormon jokes too offensive, or did I just screw up the long post I already wrote on here and hit a wrong button?

I can’t think of a better day for us to launch than the first day of the NCAA Tournament in which we’re not competing. At least gives us a weekend to work out the kinks around here.

And also an extra day to make fun of our Big East brethren. Not a good day for El Superconferenceco so far.

Looks like you hit the wrong button

Today has been awesome if your team isn’t in the tourney. A lot of great games.

Don't worry.

Louisville and Villanova are going to the Elite eight. That is a weak bracket and Duke and Baylor are overseeded.

Kansas State with the first blow out of the day.
St. Mary’s and Richmond with another close one.

Not surprised that UNT got blown out

K-State is legit and UNT only got in because Troy’s coach screwed the pooch at the end of the Sun Belt title game. I went nuts on Twitter about it.

A belated welcome to SBNation....

I look forward to reading your work and participating on the site.

It’s been a pretty wild tournament so far……glad I’m finally getting to watch some. Go Ohio.

Cannons... fire them.

Ohio is bringing the thunder against Georgetown

I’m not even sure the Villanova refs could save them.

Today was complete mayhem.

And it’s all capped off by Rick Barnes horking up an 8-point lead halfway through overtime. I can’t think of a worse game coach on a so-called elite team in a long time. Maybe back to John Thompson II.

I'm trying to think of someone and can't.

Barnes is God awful.
