After a hot start, and at 9-1, Providence had a tremendous opportunity to represent the Big East in a head to head regional match-up against the ACC's (it still feels stupid to say that) Boston College. A win would have solidified the Friar's position as an NCAA Tournament contender but the 2 point loss has put them in a more tenuous position as the league inches closer to conference play. The loss drops Providence down a few slots in Thursday morning's Super Rankings but they weren't alone. Notre Dame suffered their first loss and Seton Hall continues to disappoint and the Big East is 0-2 in the BE-SEC Challenge.
