The Bulls look to rebound from their disappointing loss Friday night as they welcome in the St. Francis Terriers tonight at the Sun Dome. Game starts at 7pm and there are still plenty of seats available.
St. Francis started off on the wrong foot, as they were blown out by Boston College Friday, 79-49. BC went on an insane 24-2 run to begin the game, and the Golden Eagles never looked back. SFU was lead by G Ricky Cadell who had a team high 14 points and G/F Akeem Bennett, who had a double double with 11 and 11. St. Francis was dominated down low, as BC F Joe Trapani scored a game high 20 points and F Corey Raji scored 17 as well.
*Insert Sponsor Here* Matchup of the Game: Ricky Cadell vs. Anthony Crater
Crater should be ready for this opportunity, as the offense revolves around Cadell. Cadell was St. Francis' leading scorer last season, averaging 16 points a game and he is already in midseason form even if the rest of the team isn't. We've talked about Crater's inability at the offensive end, but the reason he's in the starting lineup is to stop guys like Cadell. This should be a good warm-up for Anthony to prepare for A.J. Rompza Thursday.
Other Players to Watch: Akeem Bennett and Adam Chmielewski
We talked about Bennet's double-double, although that was done on a horrible 4-19 shooting night. The 11 rebounds are impressive for a guy who is listed at 6'3. Chmielewski earned some very good minutes off the bench, and provided 8 points for SFU. I'm just grasping for straws here as St. Francis doesn't look like a very good team this season.
USF should easily win tonight's game against St. Francis. It looks like the Terriers went into a 4 guard set early and often, and their only post was 6'6 Stefan Perunicic. Jarrid Famous and Augustus Gilchrist should both be in double figures, and we will probably see our first view of the USFHVC Jordan Heath. Bulls win going away 78-50
